WELCOME

Welcome to my Christmas blog. If you arrived here from my other blog, Gracenotes For Today then you already know all about my love for cardmaking, home dec items, sewing projects and graphic design.

This site will host anything with a Christmas theme, either NEW or that was previously on the Gracenotes For Today site. Also, to the above list, I will include some of my poems that are perfect for use with cardmaking.

I'm so happy you decided to drop by. Please feel free to comment on anything you see here that inspires you.

Changing Strategies

Time for a Change

Hello fellow crafters and cardmakers! I have decided to change the way I will be blogging my cards and other projects.
From now on, I will post pictures of my projects and give very few, if any details on how I made them. Instead, I will be providing information sheets to any of my followers who want them. These will be downloadable PDFs.

Why, you ask?  For three reasons:

  1. I want to have more personal connection to my followers, fans and other interested people.
  2. I want to provide value to followers.
  3. Lastly, it takes a lot of time writing and designing blog posts. I am a stickler for detail and I would rather spend that energy preparing PDF downloads for those who really want the information.
I have been blogging since 2009, and it's a tough way to interact with visitors. And I wonder if people really care to know the details. Judging by the very few comments I receive, I would say no. Maybe it's overkill for me to painstakingly make note of all the measurements, cartridges used and descriptions of how I put things together.

What Will Change

So here's how I will save time... mine and yours, as the reader. For the time being, I will continue posting my cards and other projects. I also have all my cards on my Pinterest boards for Grace Notes for Today, and It's All About Christmas. In addition, I have a Facebook page where I post all cards and card-like projects from both blogs. Add to that my Twitter page, which, admittedly, is not always up-to-date.  See below for links to my social media pages.

Perks for Followers

Followers will now get preferential treatment and downloadable goodies. You will also get extra pictures and diagrams that are not displayed on the blogs. And I will feel happier knowing that I can explain in detail all the things I want you to know on any given project. But again, they must be requested.

Anyone who wants details on my cards and projects will need to become a follower. Then, leave me a comment under the latest post. You will also need to give me your email address so I can send you the PDF. Be sure to specify which card/project instructions you want.

If you do not want others to see your email address, in the comment section ask me not to publish your comment. And of course, I am always happy to receive comments about anything you like on my blogs, whether or not you want a PDF. I'm going to try this strategy for awhile and see if it makes a difference in visitor satisfaction and an overall happy experience.
